The APS “Night School” programs are designed to capitalize on the huge success of our Training Group training program.  Short blocks with a very direct focus learning effort is the cornerstone for this type of program.  Lower round count, shorter amounts of time on the range and with an “after work” schedule that won’t interfere with weekends.  Like our Training Group programs, we keep the student numbers low to maximize individual instruction.  Each “Night School” block is 4 consecutive weeks with 1 night each week from 6-8 pm on the range.  You will need 100 rds of ammunition each week.

“Holsters and Handguns” was designed as a multifaceted training program, suitable for the student new to concealed carry as well as the concealed carry permit holder who wants to expand their knowledge base through professional firearms instruction.  A wide variety of subjects keeps this course interesting, topics like handgun and caliber selection, holster selection and placement, current events and trends, as well as teaching fundamental manipulation skill sets like drawing from a holster, reloads and clearing malfunctions.  As an introduction to follow on training events we cover several dynamic training drills and exercises designed to shorten the learning curve and increase the level of understanding regarding fighting with a handgun.  This course also serves as the gateway for students who want to participate as members in the Advanced Performance Shooting Training Group.  Students will need 100 rounds of ammunition each week, a safe concealed carry type holster, spare magazines or speedloaders and pouches to retain them.  We also require suitable eye protection as well as hearing protection on the range.
